Application of 5052 aluminum strip

The main alloy element of 5052 aluminum strip is magnesium. It has good formability, corrosion resistance, weldability and medium strength. It is used for making sheet metal parts of aircraft oil tank, oil pipe, traffic vehicles and ships, instruments, street lamp brackets and rivets, hardware products, electrical appliances, etc.


 
5052 aluminum strip is Al-Mg series rust-proof aluminum, compared with 3A21, 5A02 has higher strength, especially higher fatigue strength; similar to 3A21 aluminum strip, 5A02 aluminum strip has high plasticity and corrosion resistance; heat treatment can not be strengthened, contact welding and hydrogen atom welding have good weldability, and there is a tendency to crystalline cracks in argon arc welding; the alloy can be Machinable under cold hardening and Semi-cold hardening conditions. Good, annealed condition, poor machinability, polishing.

Heat treatment specification
 
1, homogenizing annealing: heating 440 degrees; holding 12 ~ 14h; air cooling.
 
2, rapid annealing: heating 350~410 degrees; holding time 30 ~ 120min; air or water cooling.
 
3. High temperature annealing: heating 350-420; finished product thickness (> 6 mm or < 6 mm), holding time is 2-10 minutes or 10-30 minutes; air cooling.
 
4, low temperature annealing: heating 250~300 or 150~180 degrees; holding time 1 to 2h, air cooling.
